Evolution Powersports is proud to introduce a properly engineered Turbo System for the 2018+ Ranger XP 1000 Crew models (except premium). The goal for this kit was to provide Ranger customers with the additional power they crave especially for the cab models with heat and AC.These models are particularly heavy and feel like a slow farm vehicle in stock form. The EVP RT-125 Turbo System adds approximately 38 horsepower to the tire, or 38% more power than stock. Now, rather than having just boring farm vehicle, you now have a sport SXS that is capable of rock crawling, duning, fast trail or any other riding type you can imagine.
The EVP team utilized a short header, cast manifold turbocharger with properly sized compressor and turbine wheels along with proper exhaust housing A/R to have extremely responsive power delivery. Boost is absolutely instantaneous with near-zero lag. We also include an intercooler with our unique fan trigger, which turns the fan on only when the engine is running. An intercooler is an absolute must on a normally-aspirated-to-turbo conversion especially on pump gas. The Ranger does not have knock sensors, so maintaining a cool intake air temperature is important for longevity and durability. Tuning is all done on the factory ECU and has been torture tested in Arizona at both high- and low elevation, as well as in Wisconsin on our test track. We incorporate extra safety features into the programming to add additional safety margin, like ignition retard vs intake and coolant temp maps.
Another cool feature of the RT-125 is that we designed it to utilize the factory muffler. The reason we did this is most customers want their cab models to be quiet, and the cab seems to amplify exhaust and engine noise. Utilizing the stock exhaust makes for the most pleasant driving experience. (For those who want it a little rowdier, a free-flowing EVP exhaust will be available soon.)
