Northwave’s Extreme XCM3 is a high-performance, carbon-soled, lightweight, synthetic clip-in shoe for the demanding applications of XC and Marathon Trail riders alike.

The Extreme XCM3 has a full-carbon insert in the pedal area and a stiffness index of 12.0 (out of 15). This, combined with the patented XFrame 2 upper construction means the shoe transfers every watt of power while providing the snuggest, even fit with no pressure points.

The double SLW3 X-dial closure system differentiates the pressure between the top of the instep and the toe for even better adaptability and the redesigned overlap improves fit and control on the pedals. The SLW3 is the only dial with a step-by-step and full release in a single button.

Performance Regular footbed provides greater support with an integrated heel system containing directional fibres that prevent slipping while the new no-stitch heel design guarantees comfort and a second-skin effect. TPU (thermoplastic polyurethane) inserts in strategic points ensure high traction and outstanding wear resistance.

New Highly abrasion-resistant rubber reinforcements ensure 360 protection along the entire upper while the perforated upper surface ensures optimal ventilation.
