The Northwave Tailwhip is a skate-inspired shoe with enough style to look at home with a pair of jeans, MTB pants or shorts and enough function to perform effortlessly on flat pedals and post-ride socialising with equal aplomb.

The lightweight canvas upper is equal parts flexible and durable to give you excellent security, agility, and comfort as well as breathability. Northwave’s secure fit combined with a custom low-cut design keeps you planted while the synthetic suede reinforced toe and integrated heel protection offer some armour against the elements.

With a co-designed Michelin-NW gravity sole, featuring the super-tacky Gecko rubber compound, the Tailwhip is designed from the ground up to be a high-performance flat-pedal shoe offering excellent grip. The EVA midsole isn’t just there for looks either, damping trail vibration and reducing the effects of big impacts.

The simple non-stretch laces allowed you to customise your closure tension and can be snugged away in the elasticised keeper on the top of the padded tongue.
